sick as sick can be.

If you take nothing from this post, take only this.
When a Dr gives you 10 days worth of antibiotics to take, take the whole 10 days!
Don't get mixed up in life and forget.

It's been a bit. I know that.

So the move was sucsessful. Apart from my office which will move over in pieces I assume, everything got moved and set up fairly quickly.  The kids got their rooms painted and all set up. Even our garage has shelving and GASP! I can park in it!

After spring break the kids went back to school.
By wednesday. WHAM! HOw the heck did I get strep throat??
By friday, I was pretty sure it was going to kill me! (this is when i start the antibiotics)
Hubby follows suit shortly after, then ethan...
Wait. What?
Ethan dosen't have strep... he has ANOTHER ear infection.... sigh. but since he's going on antibiotics, we figure it will cut the strep off at the pass and we'll be spared one whiny soul.
As for ani... nothing, nadda, ziltch.
Perfectly healthy. (happy dance)

Forward to wednesday...
Scratch.
Scratch scratch scratch...   what the heck?
WHY THE HELL AM I SPOTTED?!?!

Scarlet fever!

Oh yes, you read that right.
Turns out scarlet fever is the same bacteria as strep throat (group A strep) and turns up in approximately 10% of all cases. Who knew.

I don't know what's worse... the itch or the fact that being sick again is triggering my anxiety up again.

Sigh.
Been a long few weeks.

Life Lessons in moving

I moved as a kid.
Let me rephrase that... I moved ALOT as a kid.
well over 10 moves, i'm thinking closer to 15?
Not the point of this post, it's just background info.

When moving, you learn little tidbits.
Things you never thought of... so I figured, as I encounter them.
I'll share them with you!

The Open Me First Box
Pack a small box that will be the first box
opened at your new home
It contains

Toilet paper
Hand soap
Hand towels
Paper towel
(in case a friend spills their timmy's)
Lysol wipes
(leaves life less sticky from said timmy's)

We're moving!

Yep. you heard right.
We're moving.  It's a brand new (former show home) not far from where we are now.
It's a 4 bedroom great room plan with an unfinished basement.
It will be an interesting transition.
The kids are excited to move, but it makes me wonder a bit.

Even though it's not far i make frequent trips over to it.
I need to ensure i'm comfortable with it's location (10 min from here!)
I'm sure i'll be fine.

so... without further ado...
pictures!

So excited!

Wow... Just wow!

That was one of my facebook updates yesterday. It's pretty funny when you post simple things like that.
Your typical responses... ???.... what??... are you pregnant?
for the record... no, i'm not.

Long story short...We (the hubby and I) have re-evaluated our future.  We talked... thought... and did calculations, and equations and ...

We're buying a house.

We've found one we like, and we're going for it.
We had a few things we were looking for...
decent size kitchen.
room for my office
and a back yard bigger then 6 feet deep.

so we found one.
we're put an offer on it.
we'll have to see...

The down side... we'll have to switch to the new school.
The upside... we'll be walking to school... and it will take about 6 min... maybe.

sweet.

And in other news...
I'm doing well on weight watchers...down another 4 lbs this week...

And my anxiety is very slowly getting better. I can get back down to walmart.

That's my update.
Carry on.

It's a new day

Today i'm not talking about my "issues". (how about we just call it that for now)
see... already talked about it too much.

So, i'm back on weight watchers. I have to be.
I haven't been to a meeting yet. I was going to go with my sister last Saturday but nephew was sick, and it just didn't happen.

I haven't been great at tracking. I never have been.
Something about writing down everything you eat makes you accountable for it. But that's the point isent' it? I have so far found that i've been a little more conscious of what i'm eating. today i started tracking again. Looked up a few recipes to try this week. (not like i can go anywhere) (see.... them issues sneak in everywhere)

tonight ~ balsamic chicken with mushrooms and brown rice (brown rice is a power food = more fibre = more filling)

tomorrow i'm eyeing a cabbage casserole

this should be fun.

off to the elliptical for the next 5 min.
yep. 5 min is about all i can do.
but look at it's this way

it's 5 more min then i did this time last week.

carry on.

Ding Ding Ding

Welcome to the biggest battle of the year!
Good vs. Evil
The preverbal David vs. Goliath! A battle years in the making.

In one corner we have the grand daddy of all piss offs.
the rain on her parade.
the shit on her shoe.
Anxiety.!!!! (insert booing noise)

In the other corner…
the underdog that refuses to give up.
the one that keeps coming back for more.
the ray of sunshine behind the clouds....
crystal!!!! ( i hope your making that haaaaaaa fanfare noise)

Resolutions

Yep. i'm doing it again. How far will I go this time? I can't answer that.
But... I can at least try. That's all that life is right? A succession of achievements and failures?

so... here's the list for the year.

1) Work on my anxiety. This is already proving to be a tricky one.

2) Work on a healthy me. I would like to lose 30 lbs this year.
At 3 lbs a month... this should be obtainable.
Also lay off the pepsi & coffee's ... not as obtainable

3) Complete 4 schooling courses.

4) Learn to sew... dunno why.

5) Look into cost saving for our family (so i can pay for said 4 courses...)
couponing... fun, cost saveing. What can go wrong?

Other projects for my year...
Kayak the bedford channel 2x a week, from mayish to sept.
learn archery. sounds neat.

I'll leave it at that for now. It seems I always have things going.
But these are the ones i'm committing myself to.

At least for the next week.
Maybe 2...
